Top global technology leaders, including Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, Intel CEO Lip-Bu Tan, and Cognizant CEO Ravi Kumar S, met Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday to discuss expanding operations, promoting AI adoption, and investing in India’s emerging tech ecosystem.

Cognizant’s Commitment to India:Cognizant reaffirmed its commitment to India, stating the company will continue to expand into emerging cities and focus on growth, talent development, and equitable opportunities.


  • Cognizant posted on X (formerly Twitter): “Our CEO had the distinct privilege of meeting PM Modi for an inspiring conversation on accelerating AI adoption and advancing education and skill development to enhance AI capabilities and productivity.”


Intel’s Plans for Semiconductor Development:Intel CEO Lip-Bu Tan discussed India’s technology ecosystem and applauded PM Modi’s efforts to strengthen the domestic semiconductor design and manufacturing policy.


  • Intel signed an MoU with the Tata Group, enabling manufacturing, assembly, and packaging of Intel-designed products at Tata Electronics’ upcoming Fab and OSAT facilities.


  • The partnership also includes collaboration on advanced semiconductor packaging, helping localize key parts of Intel’s supply chain.


Microsoft’s $17.5 Billion Investment:Satya Nadella announced Microsoft’s largest-ever investment in Asia — $17.5 billion over 2026-2029 — to accelerate AI adoption, cloud infrastructure, skilling, and ongoing operations in India.
