Huawei Pura X Max Design, RAM, Storage and Colour Options Revealed Ahead of Launch

Huawei has officially teased its upcoming Pura X Max, a new wide book-style foldable smartphone, ahead of its launch in China on April 20, 2026. The device is already generating buzz because of its wider foldable design, which could position it as a strong rival to future foldables from Apple and Samsung.

Huawei’s upcoming Pura X Max features a wide foldable design, up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage ahead of its April 20 launch.

The company has also opened pre-orders, while revealing the design, RAM variants, storage options, and colour choices.

Wider Foldable Design Takes Center Stage

The biggest highlight of the Huawei Pura X Max is its wide foldable form factor.

Unlike most foldable phones that use a tall and narrow layout, Huawei’s new device adopts a broader, tablet-like design when unfolded. This makes it look closer to a compact tablet, which could significantly improve:

• video streaming

• multitasking

• gaming

• split-screen productivity

The inner display is expected to measure around 7.6 to 7.69 inches, while the outer cover screen may be about 5.5 inches.

This wider design could give Huawei an early edge in the premium foldable segment.

Huawei has confirmed multiple memory variants for the Pura X Max.

Available configurations include:

Colour Options Revealed

The Huawei Pura X Max will be available in five premium finishes:

• Interstellar Blue

• Olive Gold

• Phantom Night Black

• Vibrant Orange

• Zero Degree White 

The variety of colours suggests Huawei is targeting both professional and style-focused buyers.

Expected Features and Chipset

The phone is expected to be powered by the Kirin 9030 chipset, although Huawei has not yet officially confirmed the full specifications.

Other expected features include:

• triple rear camera setup

• punch-hole selfie cameras on both displays

• improved hinge durability
