The row over wearing hijab in classrooms witnessed a scary escalation in Karnataka as a post on social media called for the beheading of BJP leader Yashpal Suvarna and Sri Ram Sena chief Pramod Muthalik for money. A complaint has been filed in Udipi on the matter.
BJP leader Yashpal Suvarna, who is also a member of the college administration, said, "Getting such messages and calls through social media is very common in public life. When we work for the nation, anti-national organisations or traitors issue such threats from abroad. I will not take it seriously. It’s a part of life. We are doing our work within the limits of the Constitution. An Instagram post about me and Pramod Muthalik does not make any difference. We will not take back our steps."
